West North East South
--- pass pass 2NT
pass 3© pass 3ª
pass 3NT pass 4ª
pass pass pass.

2NT = Balanced hand, 20-21 hcp.
3© = 5+ spades, Jacoby transfer.
3NT = 5-card ª-suit, giving South the options of passing and correcting to 4ª.

Recommended bidding sequence in our version of Two over One = Game Force and our version of Precision:

West North East South
--- --- 1NT pass
2§ dbl 2© pass
2ª pass 2NT pass
3NT pass pass pass.

1NT = Balanced hand, 15-17 hcp.
2§ = Stayman relay, for which 4-card major(s) are not required.
Dbl = For penalties and §-lead. Without this indicator, South might chose lead another suit while having §A or §Q.
2© = 4- or 5-card suit, perhaps 4 hearts and 4 spades.
2ª = 4-card ª-suit, less than 4 hearts, 8+ hcp.
2NT = Minimum hand, no 4-card ª-suit. At this point, East can only show the 5-card ©-suit, when he has a maximum.

Recommended bidding sequence in our version of Two over One = Game Force and our version of Precision:

West North East South
--- --- --- pass
pass pass 1NT pass
2© pass 2ª pass
pass pass.

Pass = Downgrading for 3433-pattern, in Two over One, as well as in Precision.
1NT = Balanced hand, 15-17 hcp.
2© = 5+ spades, Jacoby transfer.
Pass = West is a hcp short of inviting with 2NT. West should not worry about possinbly missing game, for with a mazimum, East would have not would have rebid 2ª, but 2NT (3-card ª-support), or 3ª (4+ ª-support).

At our table, the auction went rather undisciplined:

West North East South
--- --- --- pass
pass pass 1NT pass
2© pass 2ª pass
2NT pass 3NT

2NT = Suggesting 5 spades, balanced hand, and 8-9 hcp.
3NT = Promising at least 16 good hcp, which East has indeed.

Because of the ª-threat, NS probably needed to develop their 5 tricks quickly. South found North more likely to have length and strength in hearts than in a minor, so he laid down ©J. East won in hand, played ªA and ªQ, crossed to dummy in hearts, knocked out ªK, and guessed right in diamonds.

The way cards lie, defense can only succeed when South starts a diamond.

Recommended bidding sequence in our version of Two over One = Game Force and our version of Precision:

West North East South
pass pass 2¨ pass
2© pass 3¨ pass
3© pass 4§ pass
4ª pass 4NT pass
5§ pass 6§ pass
pass pass.

2¨ = Multi-colored, i.e., weak-2 in a major, or one of many sorts of strong hands.
2© = Signoff to weak-2 in hearts, possibly invitational to weak-2 in spades.
3¨ = 5+ diamonds, and either 20-22 hcp, or 8-9 playing tricks.
3© = 4+ suit, forcing game, since West could pass at this stage.
4§ = Second suit.
4ª = Cue for §-slam. Shows 1st or 2nd round control of spades, denies 1st or 2nd round control of the reds.
4NT = Roman KeyCard Blackwood.
5§ = 1 or 4 out of 5 aces, 1403-variation.
