Recommended bidding sequence:

pass 3NT pass 4ª
pass 5§ pass pass
pass.

2§ = One a many sorts of strong hands.
3¨ = 7+ suit, preemptive.
Pass = Giving North the chance to disclose his hand somewhat at the 3-level.
3NT = Balanced hand, 22-23 hcp.
4ª = 6+ clubs, transfer to 5§. With a proven 9-card fit in clubs, South should not look for more complications by  investigating a possible 5-3 ©-fit. If that fit turns out not to be there, it becomes virtually impossible to investigate a §-slam in a responsible manner.
5§ = Minimum §-length and/or outside values. North must downgrade his ¨-honors. He would be far better off with ¨A 'only'.

2§ = Inverted minor raise, promising 4+ clubs and 10+ hcp, denying 4-card major.
2© = ©-stopper, denying ¨-stopper.
2NT = Stoppers in ª and ¨, and 10-11 hcp.
3NT = Upgrading for the proven 9-card fit in clubs.

North ducks diamonds twice, and knocks out §A. He only goes down, when one player holds the 5+ suit of diamonds and §A, and the ¨-suit does not block. This all will happen in less than 30% of the time, so it's worth risking.
