As a result of this victory, Concordia takes a 4 point lead on MEP, and a 9 point lead on Maastricht. With only 2 rounds left, the club from Roermond will always stay ahead of Maastricht, and promote to Class 1. In the season 2009-2010, they may play in 1C or 1D, depending on how the Dutch field hockey federation decides. MEP still remains 5 points ahead of Maastricht, and has a much better balance of goals, so more then likely, they will be the second team to promote to Class 1. MEP will probably play in 1C.
