Recommended bidding sequence:

West North East South
--- 2ª pass 4ª
pass pass pass.

2ª = Muiderberg weak-2: 5-card ª-suit, 4+ minor, 5-10 hcp.
Pass = A ¨ or a § short of a minimum takeout double.
4ª = This time for business, but often a preemptive raise. It is to West to figure out what type of South has. One thing is certain: South has no interest in slam. This may make a misjudgment of the situation very costful for EW.

Recommended bidding sequence:

West North East South
--- --- pass pass
1¨ pass 1© pass
1NT pass pass pass.

West downgrades for his 3343 pattern, the slightly misplaced honors in spades, and opens 1¨. East refrains from raising to 2NT for the same sort of reasons.This keeps them out of a game they will never make without a whole lot of help from NS, like 2 consecutive ¨-leads from North.

Recommended bidding sequence:

West North East South
--- --- --- 1ª
dbl 2© 2NT 3©
pass 4© pass pass
pass.

Dbl = Ordinary takeout, though West's pattern is not ideal. Note that a takeout double guarantees a 4-card suit in the unbid major in medieval mythology, but not in modern aggressive bidding practise.
2© = 5+ suit, 8-11 hcp, negative free bid, similar to 1ª-2ª-2© (we do not distinguish between simple overcalls that do and do not force us to a higher level).
2NT = Sort of Good-Bad 2NT, asking West to pick his best minor. NS have 19 hcp at very least, so 2NT can hardly be for 'real'.

The 4-0 split in trumps gives North a whole lot of work to do.

Recommended bidding sequence:

West North East South
1§ pass 1ª 3©
pass pass pass.

1ª = We bypass 4+ ª-suits, when we have less than 12 hcp (Walsh Approach).
3© = 7+ suit, preemptive.
Pass = Minimum values and strength. A double would be for penalties now.
Pass = Not having enough values or strength to take some other action.
