1¨ = In Walsh approach,
North denies a 4-card majord, unless
he has enough strength to reverse with.
1ª = Showing an unbalanced
hand in Walsh approach.
2© = Fourth suit forcing.
3§ = Showing 5 or more clubs, 4 spades, and
virtually denies a ©-stopper.
3NT = With a weaker ¨-suit, North should repeat
the fourth suit forcing, in order to find some sort of help to stop the hearts. 3© would not be a clear-cut inquiry for half a ©-stopper, for on some accosions, rebidding clubs on
2© would have a higher priority for East than
showing a ©-stopper.
