Recommended bidding sequence:

West North East South
--- pass 1© pass
3NT pass 4§ pass
4ª pass 4NT pass
5§ pass 5© pass
pass pass.

3NT = 4+ ©-support, balanced hand, 12-15 hcp. The extra heart, the doubletons, the kings, and the guarded queen more than make up for the one missing hcp. 3¨, the Bergen replacement of the balanced limit raise, would be an underbid, since West wants to put East at least in 4©.
4§ = First or second round control of clubs.
4ª = First or second round control of spades.
4NT = RKCB.
5§ = 1 or 4 out of 5 aces, the so-called 1403-variation.

If West has §A instead §KQ, 6© is an excellent contract: the odds of the trumps breaking 2-1 are 78%, and if East guesses right on which top honor to play first, he can handle a 3-0 split as well. If our EW pair bids the slam indeed, it will win 11 imps in 89%, and lose 10 imps in 11% of the time. If West, like in this case, has §KQ instead of §A, our EW pair will break even in 89%, and lose 10 imps in 11% of the time.

If we consider West's chances of having either §A or §KQ equal, the slamtry will score even in 44.5%, lose 10 imps in 11%, and gain 11 imps in 44.5% of the time. So the slam is definitely worth a try.

More analysis to follow.

Recommended bidding sequence:

West North East South
--- --- 1© dbl
pass 1NT 2¨ pass
pass pass.

1NT = North's hearts are not nearly good enough to allow South's double to stand.
2¨ = No reason for a strong takeout double. West was unable to respond, so he is unlikely to hold more than 5 hcp.

More analysis to follow.

Recommended bidding sequence:

West North East South
--- --- --- pass
1© 2¨ 2© pass
3§ pass 3© pass
pass pass.

3§ = Short suit game try.
3© = A short suit trial is not asking for a minimum or maximum of hcp count, but whether or not East has wasted values in West's short suit. The doubleton of clubs leaves West little room for ruffs, and the three small cards in North's ¨-suit indicate, that West will lose 2-3 tricks in the minors only. Since West is most unlikely to have more than 15 hcp, he rates to have 1-2 losers in the majors as well.

More analysis to follow.

Recommended bidding sequence:

West North East South
1¨ pass pass dbl
2¨ 2© dbl 3¨
pass 4© pass pass
pass.

Dbl = Showing exactly 3-card ¨-support.
3¨ = Short suit game try.
4© = North can afford a wasted hcp in the enemy suit, since he brings an ace, a king, and a singleton as well.

More analysis to follow.
