Recommended bidding sequence:

West North East South
--- pass 1¨ pass
1ª pass 2© pass
3§ pass 3NT pass
4NT pass pass pass.

3§ = Fourth suit forcing, asking for more info.
3NT = §-stopper, less than 3 spades.
4NT = Quantitative, i.e., invite to 6NT.

More analysis to follow.

Recommended bidding sequence:

West North East South
--- --- pass 1¨
dbl 3¨ dbl pass
3© pass pass pass.

3¨ = 5+ support and preemptive, since Truscott-2NT would show limit raise or better. North is too weak to respond 1©.
East's double = Responsive, asking West to pick his major.
3© = 4-card suit, minimum values. The stiff king of diamonds is probably void.

More analysis to follow.

Recommended bidding sequence:

West North East South
--- --- --- 1§
pass 1© pass 1ª
pass 3© pass pass
pass.

West's hand is less suited for a vulnerable 1ª-overcall than the one he holds on board 16, even though he has 2 hcp more this time. However, his suit is worse now, and his secondary honors pay off more at defense. North downgrades a little for his singelton in South's first suit, and confines with an invitational jump rebid of 3©. If he holds a singleton of diamonds instead, he will bid the forcing fourth suit first.

More analysis to follow.

Recommended bidding sequence:

West North East South
pass pass 1§ pass
1¨ pass 2NT pass
3NT pass pass pass.

1¨ = Walsh approach, virtually denying a 4-card major, so East must alert.

More analysis to follow.
