1© = In Walsh approach,
South may bypass 4+ diamonds, so North must alert.

North's double = for takeout, too strong for an initial overcall of 1©.
East's double = showing exaclty 3-card ¨-support.
Rdb = showing exactly 3-card ©-support.

2ª = Fourth suit forcing,
asking West to further describe his hand.
3© = 3-card support in partner's suit has a
very high priority when responding to fourth suit forcing. This
time, West has nothing else to tell anyway.
4© = EW has only one ª-stopper, which makes 3NT very risky. There is a 4-4 fit in clubs,
but the §-game requires 11 tricks. East tries
the 4-3 Moysean fit instead.

2© = One round force,
asking for more information. South tends towards a NT-contract, for with a 4-card ª-suit, he would use the negative double.
3NT = North must wake up and jump to game with his nice
14-count, for South might pass 2NT out.
