Recommended Bidding Sequence:

West North East South
--- --- 1ª pass
1NT dbl 2ª pass
pass pass.

1NT = Several sorts of hands, 5-11 hcp, one round force.
Dbl = Having no alternative with his 19 hcp.
2ª = Unaware of the strength and length of spades at his right.
Pass = A second double is still for takeout, not for penalties. South is most unlikely to have more than 6 hcp, so why push South into a misfit contract?

Recommended Bidding Sequence:

West North East South
--- --- --- pass
pass 1¨ pass 1©
pass 4§ pass 4©
pass pass pass.

4§ = 4+ ©-support, singleton or void in clubs, 16+ hcp (Splinter).
4© = 'Bypassing' his second round control of diamonds, because NS have at most 25 hcp between them, and the singleton of diamonds hits North's first suit.

Recommended Bidding Sequence:

West North East South
2¨ pass 2© pass
2ª pass pass 2NT
pass 5¨ pass pass
pass.

2¨ = Multi-colored, based on weak-2 in spades. The suit is not good enough for a vulnerable opening of 3ª.
2© = Signoff opposite weak-2 in hearts, possibly invitational opposite weak-2 in ª. East has not the shape for a 2-way preemptive raise of 3©.
2NT = Two lower unbid suits. South could not overcall 2NT at his first turn, for that would have shown a NT hand with 15-17 hcp. South must have opening strength for his 'unusual' 2NT, for it does not make sense to preempt over preempts, especially where the enemy stops short of game.
5¨ = Bidding what you expect to make. Forget about slam, for if South is strong, he will not pass over East's signoff.
