There is no Smolen transfer for this type of hands. If North
shows a 4+ suit in ª, South can
make an invitational raise. After 2¨, he bids
2ª, showing 5ª, 4© and less than
invitational values, i.e. 0-7 hcp. North's ultimate try for game is understandable, but
South cannot accept it. He should have some singleton beside his 7 hcp.
South cannot bid this way when 2ª is a relay.
In that case, he should bid 2©, or transfer to
2ª, hoping to hit the best fit..
